The purpose of quality assurance in the area of acquisitions is to ensure an organization of the Federal Government receives goods and services as specified in contracts at the required performance and service level. The OQM assists ORS and ORF organizations in acquiring goods and services as specified in contracts through the development and implementation of effective and efficient quality assurance surveillance plans (QASP). We also provide consultation on how to develop effective performance-based orders. For more information on this topic, please go to the Performance Based Service Contract (PBSC) page. Effective Quality Assurance reduces the Government's risk associated with obtaining products and services needed through a systematic review of the contractor's processes and deliverables to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions as agreed upon in a contract. For assistance in developing, implementing, or managing QASP, please contact Mr. James Chandler at chandj@mail.nih.gov or 301-594-4768.
